Iceland
We picked up two hitchhikers (one of them pictured above) who were from Italy and they accompanied us on a two hour road trip from Skógafoss to Reykjavik.
Seljalandsfoss.
Seljalandsfoss was first on our list. Its one of Iceland's most popular waterfalls.
In 1973 a US Navy plane crashed on Sólheimasandur, a black sand beach in south Iceland. It took quite a minute + a long walk to find the wreckage.
I continued walking further past the plane towards the coast. It was oddly peaceful just staring out to the Atlantic Ocean.
Skógafoss.
Skógafoss was my favorite. You were able to get so close to the crashing falls, however I was not prepared for the intense mist that drenched me and my camera.
The steps along the right side of Skógafoss lead you to the top where I could see sheep having a nice meal.
Gullfoss
Gullfoss was the last and furthest out falls we visited.
Reykjavík is one of the safest countries in the world. To cut costs we slept in the car, bought groceries we didn’t have to cook (all of it vegan), and conserved our money by seeing free sights (all the waterfall sights were free!)
